Our Business Development Managers are focused on assisting you with all things COLORSTEEL®. Whether it's sharing product knowledge, providing training or answering questions you may have, they look forward to working with you.
The COLORSTEEL® team is available to take you through several training modules, including:
- COLORSTEEL Dridex® (20 Mins) – An introduction to Dridex® - a new roofing product that helps to create warmer, drier and healthier New Zealand Homes. Including an overview of some of the major challenges our industry faces, and how Dridex® helps to resolve some of these issues.
- COLORSTEEL® Matte (15 mins): An innovative paint technology designed to diffuse light, leaving a soft textured finish for roofing and wall cladding.
- COLORSTEEL Altimate® (15 Mins) - Ultimate Protection for Extremely Severe Environments.
- Compatibility of Materials, CPD Accredited (20-30 Mins) - A run through the Galvanic Series Table, COLORSTEEL® product testing, inert catchment, MRM Compatibility Table.
- NZ Steel 101, ‘The Story of Steel’ (30-40 Mins)- The proud history of locally manufacturing steel, sustainability efforts at NZ Steel and COLORSTEEL®, our product range, colour availability, product testing, design considerations and more.
The team are often out on the road attending events throughout the year, so you'll usually be able to catch them at the major events such as the ADNZ Regional Awards, the Conztruct Series and the Design Experience Series.

Gen
Gen looks after specifiers and roofers in the Northland, Auckland, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay & Wellington areas. Gen has a wealth of industry knowledge, starting with NZ Steel 10 years ago as a Market Analyst. Before moving into our Business Development Team, Gen was part of our South Island sales team, as a Key Account Manager.
Ronel
Ronel looks after specifiers and roofers in the Central North Island which covers South Auckland, Hamilton, Bay of Plenty, Palmerston North and Taranaki. Ronel has been working in the steel industry for over 20 years, and joined the COLORSTEEL® team in July 2023.
Patrick
Patrick has significant experience in the building and construction sector, and we are pleased to welcome him to the COLORSTEEL® Business Development team as our newest team member. Patrick looks after the South Island.
