The Perfect Choice
At COLORSTEEL® we know the type of roof your client puts over their head, is one of the most important decisions they will make. It is one of the most important architectural elements of the project, both in protecting from the elements and in shaping the external aesthetics for years to come. It can also be one of the largest financial outlays made during the build and lifetime of their home, shed or commercial project.
There are a number of factors involved in deciding what type of roof to choose - the geographical location, environmental conditions, the design and style of the project, roof pitch, personal tastes and cost. COLORSTEEL® has been helping protect New Zealanders from the elements for over 40 years, and here's a few great reasons, that you can share with your client, on why COLORSTEEL® is the perfect solution for their project. Getting all the elements right the first time could save them thousands down the line.
If they do select a long run metal roof, remember to reassure them they've been supplied genuine COLORSTEEL®. Not all pre-painted metal roofing is created equal and not all coloured-steel or long run metal roofing is genuine COLORSTEEL®.
COLORSTEEL® is a kiwi icon, boasting a huge range of benefits to help put your mind at ease knowing your roof will stand the test of time.
Our products are designed with protection front of mind, tested and approved to stand the test of time in New Zealand's unique and often harsh environmental conditions. Whilst COLORSTEEL® MAXAM™ is suitable for use in most New Zealand environmental conditions, the location of a project and its environmental surroundings can influence the warranty.
Your projects environmental category is a classification of the harshness or severity of the environment it’s in, which affects the length of your warranty. We categorise this, by describing the surrounding environment as:
Moderate
Severe
Very severe
Extremely severe
A number of factors can contribute to the environmental category, but the most significant consideration is how close the property is to the coast.
